Laptop keyboard light fail to light up after sleep
I’m not sure if this is a hardware or Driver issue
A while back I noticed that my laptop’s keyboard backlight isn’t lighting up. I saw on Youtube that it’s likely caused by ATK driver issues, so I went and updated the driver.
Driver installed, I restart the laptop, and the light turns on as it should. I thought that was it, but the light fails to turn on again after I put it to sleep and wake it up.
I reinstall the driver, restart, and the light turns back on. But it always refuses to turn back on after sleep.
The keyboard shortcuts (fn +f4) does not do anything. All the other functions (volume control , monitor brightness adjustment, etc) all still work. Only the keyboard light function does not work.
Incidentally, lately some of the keyboard letter keys sometimes does not respond. I’m not sure if the two issues are related. Is there something in the hardware that’s worn out? Or is this a driver error?
My laptop is an ASUS ROG G750JW
