how to change boot priority in dell laptop?

Posted Yesterday, 10:13 PM

ok so here’s the story:
-i have dell inspiron laptop
– it has slow hdd
– so i decided to get rid of cd rom and install a caddy with ssd crucial bx500 240 gb
– did a migration of operating system ( windows 10 ) using easeus partition master and it was successful
– restarted the laptop and entered boot option to choose the new ssd
– worked good and logged to windows fast and clean SO i formated the old drive C in hdd since i don’t need it anymore
– restarted laptop suddenly it takes me to windows repair screen .. its like it doesn’t detect the operating system on new ssd
– tried to change boot priorities in bios but all i had were windows boot manager and something related to ipv4 and ipv6
– i disabled secure boot and enabled legacy mode …. now i have 4 boot options ( hard drive ,cd rom, diskette, and usb ) i tried every one of them but in vain…
However the new ssd is shown in boot options which can be chosen temporarily and logged to windows
I WANT TO MAKE THE NEW SSD THE DEFAULT BOOTABLE DEVICE
any help is appreciated
