Google Pixel Users Complaining About App Crashing & Other Issues After Android 12 Update

For some Google Pixel smartphone users, Android 12 is causing app crashes and contact response points. The Android update, which Google released earlier this week amid much anticipation, was designed to improve user experience by incorporating Google’s new Material You design language as well as a number of other improvements. However, several customers have complained on the internet that shortly after updating their Pixel phones to Android 12, they began experiencing latency and other unpleasant difficulties, such as an unresponsive touchscreen. The issues aren’t limited to a single model, although they do affect several of the most recent Pixel phones.

Issues Faced by Pixel Users

Many Google Pixel customers have complained about the problems on social media sites including Google’s support forums and Twitter. Users have claimed that after updating their Pixel phones to Android 12, they began experiencing latency and other difficulties such as an unresponsive touchscreen. Some customers have also reported that apps are crashing and that the battery is depleting significantly faster than previously. The corporation has yet to recognise the problems that the Android 12 version appears to be causing. Along with posting complaints on the Google Support forums, some users have taken to Twitter to discuss the issues they’re having with their Pixel phones after switching to Android 12.

The issues don’t appear to be restricted to a single Pixel model, though the most of the complaints on the Internet indicate that they’re affecting recent Pixel phones including the Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, and Pixel 5.

Android 12 has yet to be identified as having any faults, according to Google. However, some affected users have been advised to switch to safe mode by product experts on the Google Support forums to see if the difficulties are caused by any third-party apps. It doesn’t appear to have aided users too much.

Along with the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, Google released the Android 12 upgrade. The Material You design language in Google’s next operating system allows for new interface-level adjustments. New privacy-focused features include the option to share an approximate location and a new Privacy Dashboard that shows app permission settings in detail. Starting with the Pixel 3, the Android 12 upgrade is available for all Google Pixel phones. It’s also pre-installed on the Pixel 6 series.
