7 cars with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in India
In-car connections are now becoming more and more popular among Indian car buyers. Today, a significant number of customers are choosing car variations with connectivity features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. These are usually higher levels of trim. As always, technology has evolved over time, and wireless technology is now a major trend for automobiles, including wireless phone chargers and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. In fact, the latter two are fairly new additions in the mass market segment, and there are already many popular car models that offer these features. Here we have listed eight cars that offer wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The· Nissan Magnite Is one of the first models to offer wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto technology and was first introduced in the subcompact SUV segment. This feature is available in Magnete’s XV and XV Premium variants, and with the optional Tech Pack, features such as wireless chargers, JBL speakers, ambient lighting, and air purifiers are also available.
Like Magnite Renault Kigger Is based on the same CMF-A + platform, so it also shares most of its characteristics. This includes wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. However, unlike Magnete, Kiger only gets them in the top-end RXZ variant. That said, Renault also offers the optional Smart + Pack and Kiger, which include features such as a wireless charger, front parking sensor, ambient light and air purifier.
The· Kia Sonet Following a recent minor update, the company has added wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to its subcompact SUV feature list, along with the new Kia logo. This feature was introduced in mid-spec variants such as the HTK + and HTX, which do not feature the automaker’s UVO connected car technology.
The· Hyundai i20 Is currently the most feature-rich model in the premium hatchback space and the only car in the segment offering wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Similar to Kia, the wireless connectivity feature was introduced in a variant that does not acquire the Bluelink connected car system. In this case, only the Sportz variant of i20.
The· Hyundai Verna The latest models for getting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in India are available. Automakers have recently added wireless versions of these two connectivity features to Verna’s feature list. Like the i20, it is also offered here only in mid-spec variations. This includes the S + and SX trims on compact sedans. Top spec SX (O) and SX (O) Turbo will get Bluelink Connected Car Tech instead.
Like Sonet Kia Seltos Most recently, we received many new features, including wireless phone projection for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. As already mentioned, these wireless connectivity features are only available in mid-spec (HTK and HTK + variants). This is because all the trims on it use UVO connected car technology. Currently, the Seltos is the only model in the compact SUV segment that offers this functionality. However, Hyundai is preparing to roll out a similar update for Crete, followed by Skoda Kushaq with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The· Jeep compass The Facelift was launched a few months ago and is an updated model, with American SUV makers introducing several new connectivity features such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In fact, the popular medium-sized SUV offers these two wireless smartphone connectivity features as standard in all variations.
